deGravelles graduated from LSU Law School with both academic and courtroom honors: Order of the Coif (graduating in the top 10% of his class); first place in the Flory Trial Competition; Moot Court Board.

Since graduation, deGravelles has been invited to serve on the Adjunct Faculty at both LSU Law School and Tulane Law School. He has also written and spoken extensively on issues related to the areas of law in which he practices and on issues related to trial practice. Professional Credentials
deGravelles is licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court, all state and federal courts in Louisiana, and the state courts of Texas and Colorado. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Maritime Law Association, the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, and the Baton Rouge Bar Association. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.


Leadership
deGravelles has earned the respect of his peers within the legal profession by being elected to positions of leadership in organizations dedicated to trial practice. He has served as President of the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association (LTLA) and President of the Louisiana Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He has served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA) and as Chairman of the LTLA Legislative Committee and Medical Malpractice Section. He serves on the National Board of Directors of ABOTA and as a member of the Board of Governors of LTLA.
